These shorts are handmade by Manuel in Panajachel. He's been creating apparel for 45 years! These are all size LARGE they have an elastic waist band and a draw string. They have 2 front pockets. If you are concerned with fit, I suggest upping your typical size. We also recommend hand washing or gentle cycle and line drying.
